The
PL-906SSVL and PL-906SSL
loaders are the most unique pocket loaders on the market today.
The
Saddlestitch Pocket
Loaders eliminate the need for jogging product.
This is accomplished through a series of lifters, belts, and air blast
that separate each signature. The
SSVL will take a stack of brick piled signatures, up to 4’ high and shingle
them out to the feed hopper on the loader. The
SSL has an eight foot bed that will accept either brick piled or logged product
and feed a shingle into the
hopper.
The
hopper, via a timed
vacuum belt, will feed out an exact 4” shingle into the grippers on a P2 or
P15 pocket. The vacuum belt is
driven by a servo motor which enables the belt to stop and start for inhibiting
and selective feeding. By timing the
motor to feed directly into the pocket, the feed tray, sucker bar, and face
plate are removed. The Loader
adjustments, both mechanical and electrical can be made by the operator on the
operator side of the machine. An
encoder is mounted in the pocket for machine speed following.
The PL-906SSL is also available in a double digest version.
